About Goode Kicks Family Tae Kwon Do

Our program was started in September of 2002 as a partnership with Jarrettsville Tae Kwon Do and Just 4 Kids Sports Complex.  We have grown over the past year to 30 students. We are a traditional Dojang that is a member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and USA Taekwondo (USAT).  We train two to three nights a week.  We are dedicated to self-improvement through martial arts.  We work hard at conditioning the body as a whole: physically, mentally and spiritually as well.  Goode Kicks Family Tae kwon Do is committed to teach students of all ages the Korean Art of Tae Kwon Do.  We offer classes for the beginner to the advanced.  We also cater to families as we offer a family discount on the monthly tuition.

Tae Kwon Do is the fighting and forms aspect of the class.  We teach the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) style forms called the Taegeuk Forms.  We also teach the Olympic style fighting or free sparring.  Tae Kwon Do has been an Olympic event since the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.  The WTF (World Tae Kwon Do Federation) is the official governing body of Tae Kwon Do for the International Olympic Committee (IOC).  The USAT is the official governing body for Tae Kwon Do for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). We also train in self defense using some Hapkido techniques, which is another Korean Martial art.  For the throwing sweeping and ground combat aspect of our class, we use Yudo, the Korean form of Judo.

If you feel you are interested in joining our class please contact us by email at Goode Kicks Tae Kwon Do.  We are located at the corner of 152 & 165 in Upper Crossroads Shopping Center.  Feel free to stop in and watch a class before you sign up or come ready to start and we will guide you through your first several classes.
